Ashley, do the world a favour and binge out on a diet of raw green potatoes, raw aubergine, raw kidney beans, raw tapioca root and raw rhubarb.

Let us all know how you get on.

(Actually, just in case you really ARE the retard you appear, instead of just a silly little girl trying to wind everyone up, DO NOT eat the above raw – they all contain toxins and / or anti-nutritional compounds, which is why man evolved cooking as a means of preparing safe foods. But I’m sure you’re the expert on that too)

  2. Skully says:

I agree . . .and that’s why I love Steak Tartar with capers and onions on rusks and a good red wine.

  3. Rebecca H says:

I know I’ll get the exact details wrong here but I do believe the very first corruption of man (if you believe in the bible) involved a large, red, juicy….

apple? Or was it a steak? Nope, pretty sure it was an apple. That would be a particularly vegan corruption wouldn’t it. Would love to hear how Ashley would twist that little factoid around.

Would probably go something along the lines of “woman trying to show man the path to veganism”.

  4. meeno says:

look at the back of the packaging it will tell you the ingrdients. i belive the juice called innocence is pure juice.

  5. Abercrombiexcutie says:

If you’re looking for healthy. I’d choose milk. It’s good in everything. But, to answer your question, i love orange juice, it’s healthy, and yummu. Atleast in my opinion. And I don’t believe it in some cases. But i do believe what my mom’s taught me. :]

  6. AlwaysOverPack says:

Water is the healthiest. Juices can cause a spike in bloodsuager, resulting in a crash later.
I like OJ, but it is only marginally good for you. Better to eat the whole fruit. the way it was deigned.

  7. Common_Sense2 says:

WATER is healthiest. But, I do prefer 100% fruit juices over water. My favorite is Tropicana Orange Juice because it’s NOT from concentrate. However, I do not always believe that the juices are always all natural.

  8. sexmunki says:

water is always best as fruit juices contain fruit acids and natural sugars which can corrode the enamel on your teeth. They are fine as an occasional enjoyable drink (after which you brush your teeth) but not as your main drink.

  9. jock Mc doogle says:

    any alcoholic drink

  10. giraffe says:

Water is healthy and has no calories and tastes nice. but yeh most fruit drink give you one of your 5 a day which is good but water regenerates most cells in the body and helps strengthen most if not all parts of the body

  11. Xenie X says:

water is definately the healthiest option – I like grape juice or orange and pineapple – but who knows what they put in them, they’re always sneaking artificial sweetners or preservatives into things these days

  12. bldskd9 says:

if everything is equal then water is the best as the rest of the diet makes up for it. in real life, take a vitamin supplement. and eat your vegies raw or close to it so you can poop. pooping is very important to your health. even if people make fun of it.

  13. Staci W says:

Personnally I haven’t found a juice I don’t like. Pomagranite is a little difficult to get down, but when you mix it with another juice it’s pretty good. You have to look closely at the label, your looking for something that says 100% juice, then look at the ingredients, there should be very little except for juice and maybe water, certainly you can’t pronounce. Of course the healthiest choice of drink is good old water. Your body is made up of over 70% water, so basically you need to replenish it. Juices are great too, but you have to remember that they are all sugar, natural or not. It is far better to eat a piece of fruit then to drink it’s juice for fiber and other nutritional reasons.

  14. ballin says:

water is the best cuz sometimes in fruit jucies they can add sugar to them

  15. Sleazy-E says:

Water is much healthier. Most “juices” are loaded with sugar.

  16. hopflower says:

Water is the best drink of all, really. But as far as juices go; they all have their merit Just stay away from high sugar blends.

  17. Talia says:

well if you do that you wont have that much protien and calcium so you would really be a veggie.

  18. sparkleythings_4you says:

I think a balanced diet it far more healthy than restricting yourself to just one food type.

  19. Liadan says:

Nobody can digest the coverings of the corn kennels, I think we’re missing the enzyme that digests it. So if you don’t chew it very well the inside of the corn thats covered won’t be digested either.
The reason why you don’t see them when you flush after drinking it is because the pieces of the covering would be too small, but they are still there, believe me.
If drinking vegetable juices is the only way you can get the veggies in then, why not, but I think the most healthy way is having them as they are, they have more fiber that way.

  20. Paul Ding says:

Your body needs fiber, aka “Vitamin F”.

Juice is NOT healthier than the vegetables it’s made from; just the opposite.

  21. Rose Kennedy says:

Juices are fine and good for you full of vitamins and minerals but your body does need roughage too, so you need to eat some breads, potatoes and meat ok.

  22. all s in mind......... says:

well it all depends on your body ’s adjustment with fibres.
in general a normal person cannot do with just vege juices ………..and remain healthy .
if u are a growing up kid u cant do wid just veg juices….. but for the oldies it would be highly preffered…agreed??
and plz do chew the food properly before swallowing it .

  23. ShuggieMac says:

I would have thought that the difference would be minimal but as others have said you will get the fibre from eating whole.

On another point why did you report Michael H? Seems kind of petty doesn’t it? He was not exactly rude or anything like that. The reporting should really be left for serious midemeanours – or am I missing a hidden message?

  24. Monkey says:

Drinking vegie and fruit drinks are good , but your pic shows you as a woman and you need calcium too. I am 43 and always loved my milk and yogurt. 3 weeks ago I was hit by a car and at my age if I did not love my milk cheese and yogurt I should have shattered bones! I was going to the grocery store near my home and an idiot was on his cell as I tumbled over his car and I was walking in a safe legal manner, he started to slow down and decided to run a red light and I got hit! Luckily I am healthy and had only a knee sprain, I was pissed because I was in for running Mount Marathon in Seward, Alaska. Alaska is my home and i had to put away my bikes and feel like a gimp! I am thankful because of MRI I am only sprained but it f***** my summer and the driver is honorable and paying dearly , but the money means nothing! My point is to have a varied diet and a vegan can be healthy with vitamins and eating legumes andgrains Eat well because I know what you are going through

  25. Veg Only! says:

what you see out there are called fiber, which is extremely important for a healthy digestive system. fiber forms part of those carbohydrates that are not digested. even though they do not bring any nutrient to your body, they are extremely beneficial to provide roughage to your intestinal transit. so better eat vegetables whole rather than juice

  26. L-Boogie says:

I have been juicing for quite a few years now and I am constantly in awe as to the many health benefits it provides.
As far as corn is concnered, jucing it may be the only way for our bodies to totally digest it. Trust me – you’re not the only one who sees entire kernels on their way out.
Of course I would advocate for you to keep drinking the juice, but you can (and should!) still eat the vegetables as well.
You didn’t mention anything about fruit juices and if you do not really do that, you should totally get into it. Fruit juices are delicious! Just as an example, bromine is a great and rare enzyme found only in pineapple. The majority of it is found in the skin. Obviously, we have a hard time with pineapple skin, but if you stick it in your juicer, you can reap all the benefits from it. Same thing with watermelon rind and cantaloupe rind…they both contain nutrients that we normally wouldn’t get w/o the juicer.
    Good luck!

  27. = ^_^ = says:

I don’t drink juices myself, it seems like a waste to me. I like smoothies, that way you get all the fiber and nutrients from the whole fruits and veggies plus the vitamins and minerals from the added soymilk. My favorite is strawberry-banana-kiwi with some spinach for added iron (you can’t taste the spinach). Carrot-apple is good as well. A smoothie and a peanut butter sandwich makes a quick and easy lunch.

As for the corn thing, that’s quite disturbing. I’m glad I don’t like whole corn. Is there really any point to eating it if it just comes right out anyway?

  28. frank s says:

How could you possibly know if your body was digesting the corn juice? That doesn’t make much sense to me.
And how are you reporting people to answers with as rude as you are sometimes? Get over it.
No I don’t like the vegetable juice more than every once in a while… I prefer to eat the vegetables themselves.

  29. rookethorne says:

No it just indicates that you are not chewing your food properly.

It just goes to prove my theory that some veg*ns are inherently lazy – too lazy to chew meat, and now even too lazy to chew veggies properly.

  30. VeganIndieGirl says:

Although I love vegetable and fruit juices, juicing the fruit/vegetable takes away alot of the vitamins in the food.
So although you digest it better you are not absorbing the amount of vitamins you would be absorbing otherwise.

  31. Arthur R says:

I would always peel fresh ginger, sometimes you get grungy bits under the skin that you wouldn`t otherwise detect

  32. Christopher J says:

Personally I don’t see the point in peeling, however some people do and some don’t, there isnt much difference, I would just wash it and then put it in.

Beware not to put too much in as it can really overpower the rest of the juice

    Hope this helps

  33. Bunny says:

i put whole thing in but my partner peels it – he is sure you can tell that the skin is in there but i don’t see how – if there are big knobbly bits i cut them off though!

    I throw everything in mine

You only need a tiny bot of ginger – very strong but i love it

  34. blue dolphin says:

I would say yes peel it as the outer skin of ginger can be very stringy and coarse. Why not try it both ways and see which you prefer.

  35. fed up woman says:

Yes, like most fruit all the goodness is just directly under the skin, another way to get rid of the skin is scraping it with the edge of a teaspoon, it won’t take any of the flesh which the peeler or knife will do.

  36. fahoouahoocahookahoo says:

    Bad teeth

  37. fuAL'mE says:

It is the worst thing you can drink if you value your teeth’s colour and enamel.

  38. Steve S says:

A significant reduction of weight in the wallet area.

  39. Starving Billionaire says:

Either too much sugar, or too much caffeine. Or both.

  40. malt_soda says:

You could end up damaging your liver. My brother-in-law turned yellow and had to go to the hospital! I agree with the other posts though, that they aren’t particularly healthy for you with the excessive caffeine and sugar.

  41. Fireangel says:

high in sugar content and very acidy = bad for your teeth
all those vitamins and caffeine added = irregular heartbeat
too much caffeine can also cause headaches

  42. bardolino says:

It’s full of sugar so it will rot your teeth and make you fat.

  43. darkmike8970 says:

Energy drinks are rather harmful depending on the type you are drinking. I drink energy drinks daily and I found that XS Energy is the best because it doesnt have the sugars and caffiene most other drinks have. Try it out if you get a chance, I actually sell them =]
